About Me

Hello! My name is Pamela Santos. I attempt to keep my life as simple as possible, so, naturally, my life is an organized chaos. I am currently in my first quarter at UC Santa Barbara, studying biopsychology in hopes to become a physician's assistant. However, in my time here I wish to fulfill more than academic achievements. I'm constantly searching for the perfect niche I can wiggle my way into, from scouting for new friendships at Manzanita Village or joining various clubs that fit my interests.

I think the importance of relaxation is very high especially during times of stress--which, for me, is basically every day. Stress is the main fuel that motivates me to finish my daily tasks. I begin to feel uncomfortable whenever I feel unstressed for long amounts of time. That's why I love to keep myself occupied, even if it is just spending quality time with my family or my best friends.

Aside from my life at a university, I spend my spare time binge-watching wonderful T.V. shows on Netflix, such as Parks and Recreation and Friends. As well as that, Santa Barbara has transformed me into a beach person; I'm there nearly every day just soaking my feet in tar and salt water, listening to the calming tides. I also truly have a passion for writing; I was the editor-in-chief of my school's award-winning yearbook two years in a row. Yearbook has always been a big part of my life.

I enjoy alternative rock music like The Maine, but I also love dancing my heart out to Taylor Swift. Concerts are also one of my favorite hobbies. I have probably spent over thousands of dollars attending my favorite bands' concerts.

I can't wait to experience my entire first year here at UC Santa Barbara, and it literally is just the beginning.
